You forgot that $20 is “Blue Monday” by New Order, just with a ton of compression and one-dropped via the DJ mixer.

Well, you’re definitely getting a link from me (soon).

How about a follow-up with all the(other) samples on Piracy Funds Terrorism?

Many more on that… But the Kala samples are the most fun.

    Particularly love the R.P. Patnaik.

I remember when I first heard Dr. Buzzard’s “sunshower” back in middle school. It was on the original score for “Boyz in the Hood”. The scene was when Trey first went to Doughboy’s (Ice cube) house. And his mom was talking shit…”all you do is eat, sleep and shit” It was playing in the backgound. Glad to see it getting a shootout here. I love the original. Ghostface also used it first for “Ghostshowers” which is also great.

Yes Wow says it. This makes me appreciate the album so much more. You can tell that whoever makes the jump from the original song to the Kala song has got it goin’ on. Awesome. Viva M.I.A.
