Hugg & Pepp

Hugg & Pepp are John (Hugge) and Jesper (Pepponen) Dahlbäck. Jesper has been involved in the electronic music scene for over a decade and taught cousin John how to produce. They’re wildly talented musicians with individual libraries of releases to their credit. And they continue to work together…

I believe that each Hugg & Pepp release tells the story of family: celebrating the good times and working out the bad. Each release is a journey with some tracks diving so deep they need a submarine, and others so delightful they force smiles.

Hugg & Pepp – “Tiddeli” – from Smuggeli Krook EP (DAR014)
This sounds like the rubber-band song I had too few hands to play.

Hugg & Pepp – “Mormor” – from Mormors Hosta EP (DAR013)
I like this cause it’s part of a laughing trend that’s going on
(see also: “Swamp Thing” by Justin Martin and Sammy D)

I truly, from heart, recommend each and every Hugg & Pepp EP.
Available as 12″ and through Beatport on Dahlbäck Recordings

Not to forget John’s 11 million solo releases (and the kid is 21 yrs old). Most noteworthy are the Kompakt releases under the moniker Hug and those under his given name on Pickadoll.

Go get’em, he’s one of few geniouses of our time. Just check his discogs
