Looptroop Rockers & Chords Return

Looptroop Rockers have been Sweden’s biggest hiphop export since they released their first album Modern Day City Symphony 8 years ago. They’ve toured around Europe every year and have made their way from Japan, to the States, down under and to South Africa to perform.
Looptroop consists of the rappers Promoe and Supreme (CosMIC was also formerly a member) and the producer Embee. Looptroop fame started in their strong political lyrics, something that has always been a theme with the troop. Strong beliefs, great lyrics, Embee’s melodic beats and extremely fun energetic live shows have always been the group’s trademarks.
After three group albums, two albums from Promoe and one from Embee, it’s finally time for the new Looptroop Rockers album. Good Things will hit stores on April 23rd. Until then, here is a taste of the first single.

On a similar note, one of Sweden’s best MCs, Chords, who gave us a great set at the last Palms Out party, is also back with a new album. Chords was born in the US, but grew up in Sweden. He raps as well in English as he does in Swedish. Chords’ first album, The Garden Around the Mansion, was released five years ago and was considered among the best Swedish rap albums in ever recorded in English. It was also the first Swedish rap album to ever get released on a major label in America.
That was five years ago. Since then Chords has been touring with Timbuktu all over the place and has been busy with the reggae project, Helt Off. His fans around the world have been waiting for another proper album in English- Things We Do For Things (on Juju Records/Playground) is dropping April 30th.
