he got a shout by another artist that heavily samples as well? wow.
I’m just disappointed, there are some songs I really loved, with great hooks that turned out to be straight up jacked from other tracks. He is, without a doubt, a remix artist. When you take a track and use the vocals, syncopation, bassline, etc, its a fucking remix, so call it as such.

that still doesn’t change the fact that u don’t know me, i want ur soul, etc. are fun to listen to, and more importantly, you didn’t think to “jack” those samples and put them together like he did.
also, 80% of electronic music would be considered “jacking” or remixing, so don’t throw stones in a glass house.
finally, there is no such thing as human invention, only human discovery.

@ everyone else- Why all the hate? The guy has been around since the early 90′s and is still killing it. AVH, Bassment Jaxx, Daft Punk, Sneak, all sample, thats house music. Stop making it seem like its something other than party music, this isnt phillp glass.

Armand is guy from house`s hall of fame! Dont touch Armand. Yes, maybe he did some shit sometimes, but he also did so many club classic! Hes greatest musician of past years
And his sampling skills and choice of tracks are higly interesting

i have something to say about this: welcome to house music. enjoy your stay.
seriously – house music and almost all forms of dance music has been popularized by taking old, dusty disco hits and transforming them into something fun again. there is nothing wrong or inexcusable about that whatsoever.
sampling in itself is a respectable artform and i hold my arms out and welcome great samplers like cassius, daft punk, justice and pierre de la touche.
you’ll still be dancing to it either way, so who cares?

Armand has def pushed the sound boundaries though… hes always a step ahead of everyone else… In the tori Amos _ professional widow remix… he totally rocked the speed garage sound… i mean the witch doctor… Even if he has used other songs… he admits it.. $hit.. one of his disc was titles the sampleslayer … There is no doubt this guy is a huge staple in the dance community.. Also he is dressin in complete LA style.. his crew that kicks it w him rocks the retro 90s style.. and now its become a big fad again.. The guys always there before many… So until any of you come up w anything half as party oriented as this guy… step off.. seriously
