Starfucker
My favorite guilty pleasure is Portland’s Starfucker. The band’s name is a “rejection of seriousness of the music industry” and the trio of actual friends who make music together is bucking the Northwest industry pretty hard! It’s akin to the hair metal formula for success and then Nirvana coming along…So it’s neat that the kids who grew up listening to Nirvana are now the ones bucking the stale trends of indie rock (yeah I said it!) – Portland is the Seattle of seventeen years ago.
Starfucker – “German Love“
Starfucker – “Rawnald Gregory Erickson the Second“
Starfucker uses a lot of disco elements, I like that.
They’re about to kick off their first US tour, I like that too.
Their debut album is available now, I like that the most.
It’s really good. I can’t recommend this album enough.
Starfucker makes me smile on inside and the outside.

A comedian who is really good at White people vs Black people jokes, should write Portland vs Seattle jokes.

Hey guys,
we can't do anything about it!
Beatport, turntablelab, juno, and the rest gave us a street date of september30th!
We just have to wait for them to get their shit together! Sorry.
Nothing we can do. Until then, the itunes is DRM free and at 256kbps or higher.
Thanks SO MUCH for the support. We will make a big announcement when it all goes live everywhere else.
xoxo
