Lorcan Mak Mixtape

In the past few months it’s become apparent that squeaky synth hooks and huge kicks are now a fine match for the more tried and tested big bassline / distortion method that’s been dominating our clubs for the past couple of years. People like Afrojack, Kid Kaio and Harvard Bass have proven this beyond any doubt and now a lot more producers are starting to take this route, meaning we’re beginning to see a new ‘mini-genre’ of DJ’s and producers who are kicking up a fuss somewhere in between techno, bmore and plenty of other ‘house’ based genres. One of the latest producers to get in on the act is a super young Irish chap called Lorcan Mak; who has already seen two of his original tracks top Brodinski’s monthly charts; which is a fairly strong start! He has put together a mix for us which contains a whole bunch of his own tracks, plus an exclusive first listen of a Kid Kaio remix of our track ‘Tickets’ which is forthcoming on Palms Out sometime very soon.
