Sample Wednesday 42: Chemical Brothers 95-98

The Chemical Brothers are pioneers of the big beat sound who achieved mainstream popularity in the 90’s. Hailing from South London, they originally called themselves The Dust Brothers after the LA duo. They were resident DJs at the Abbey’s legendary Heavenly Sunday Social Club and remixers of The Charlatans, Manic Street Preachers, Primal Scream, and The Prodigy until they changed their name to The Chemical Brothers because of disputes. Since then, their slew of dance hits and arena-sized live show have been experienced all over the world.
Sample Wednesday showcases the tracks our featured subjects use in their tracks. As The Chemical Brothers have used a LOT of samples we’re doing two weeks. This being years 1995-98, and next week we’ll return with 99-07. Enjoy!
