Dubbel Dutch – Trollsta OUT NOW! (POS012)

Palms Out is so so very proud to announce the debut release from one of our favorite producers around, period- Austin, TX based Dubbel Dutch. He started showing up on Remix Sundays a long while ago, with bassy bootlegs of hiphop songs, and since then has evolved at a staggering rate. When I heard this single, ‘Trollsta’, I was quick to jump in and ask if Palms Out could release it. A truly enjoyable journey, start to finish, the bassline wiggles its way around minimalist percussion and a sharp kick, into a perfect pastry of percussive & tech house.

On remix duty, we have an allstar lineup- Toronto bass bomber Egyptrixx gives us his growly dubstep take on ‘Trollsta’, while Denmark’s MHM One, gives us an epic journey into the depths of house music that unravels from the dark side into the light. Finally we have Round Table Knights, from Switzerland, who deliver a tricky, broken down, version – that uses almost everything from the original but separated and spared down into a tight little exercise for your dancing feet. The artwork for the single was painted by the ever-talented John P. Dessereau.

‘Trollsta’ is out now on beatport, itunes, juno, & turntablelab.

enjoy the Round Table Knights remix, as a gift from us, as well as Dubbel Dutch’s new remix for Daniel Haaksman.

Read what people are saying about POS012…
–”I like it!! =) nice and simple.. my favorites are the original (funny groove!) and the RTK remix (i LOVE these guys)” – Solo (Dead Fish, Dirtybird, Sound Pellegrino)
–”Loving the original! Thanx” – Riva Starr (Dirtybird, Southern Fried)
–”yummy wobbly bass business that i’ll be rocking the crap out of!” – Ursula 1000 (ESL)
–”Is there such a thing as minimal electro? If there is, this must qualify. “Trollsta” starts off sounding like it could be a minimal techno track, but then comes the squelching, unruly bassline just when you let your guard down. Kind of a weird, hybrid between the two styles, it works very nicely. Knights Of The Round Table and MHM One both contribute subdued techno versions, leaving the door wide open for Egyptrixx to come in and blow everyone out with a huge dubstep take. Four tracks total, recommended.” – Turntablelab
–”all out awesome” – discobelle
