It’s Always MeMeMe With You
In a world where you increasingly have to produce to get bookings, it is refreshing to find people who are doing things the other way around – those people who ply their trade as a DJ and pick up ideas and sounds, that they store up until they have the means to unleash it on their crowd. MeMeMe are such people. Having played with anyone and everyone at Nottingham’s excellent Stealth club, (they also run ‘Made You Look’ every Saturday) the duo didn’t rush into production and just enjoyed what they were doing behind the wheels of steel / plastic. Such patience paid off, and when they started to get their ideas out of their heads and onto the screen, it soon became clear that they had a great deal ticking over upstairs! Radio 1 airplay followed and Nic Sarno’s ESP imprint will be releasing the debut MeMeMe EP in the next couple of months so keep an eye out for that, and in the meantime check out this mix that we had them put together!
