The Touch Mixed Ape

The Touch are full of energy, extra energy, actually. They have room for so much in their busy lives, they have love, dance, music, work, children, and compassion. To handle all that you need all the energy you can get. Fitting that their upcoming single on Trunk funk is called just that, “Xtra Energy” which is a spicy little number that features Zhala on vocals, someone you should definitely watch out for, you’re going to be hearing a lot more from her in the near future.

The Touch are about to put out a mixtape titled Mixed Ape First Edition. Well, actually, as I write this, they are a couple of days away, but when this is published, it will be today. It’s the kind of mixtape I actually listen to, not full of dancefloor material (i’d rather go to club) but not by any means devoid of it (bedroom dancing what’s good). Like a good mix should, the range of sounds are vast, lots of bass, lots of strings, lots of buzz, lots of melody, lots of rhythm. They make sure to include a taste of the future of The Touch – but mostly keep it about the stuff they love.
