Race???an issue. Obviouly this person doesn/t know me. I started out with Jeff Mills, then worked with, Kevin Saunderson, Juan Atkins then Stacey pullen, Claude Young and Stacey Haotwax Hale. race has NEVER been an issue. Unlike honnppooo trying to make a ppoint...I have never looked at color but only accept a person on their personality and character. I hope you did not bring this up to start controversy, because all of the aobe named say the cover before it was released AND.... they ALL loved and raved about it considering THEY know and appreciate detroits rich and culturally rich past! SO let's put this away before once again the above mentioned fellow DJ's and personal friends of mine go off on a tangent due to the perposterous notion that I would ever act nor display an offensive action towards ANY race. we are all people and that is that!!!

I actually designed Phil's cover. It wasn't meant to be racist and I don't think it's awkward. The photograph is of Detroit and the absence of a black person from the photograph doesn't mean anything, except that a black person was not in the frame when that photograph was chosen. It's a photograph of a crowd of young people cheering for Detroit. I love black people, so does Phil.
