Udachi – “Put Down De Bong” (sc)
From the future: our old friend Udachi just released a set of 30 demos on his bandcamp: Lost in Time (Demos for TikTok Demons)
I revived an old music blog from the early 2000s?
Maybe it’s been a foolish endeavor, and maybe I’m the only one who misses the blog ol’ days, but I’ve been giving it a shot. I’ve been working on restoring some of the old content, though much of it was lost. I’ve slowly been rebuilding the old remix sunday archives, and even posting the occasional new edition. And I’ve been writing again.
You can find all the label’s releases here, on bandcamp, or most anywhere you listen to music these days. I’ve still got copies of some of the old vinyl releases, and I recently released the first in a set of charitable cassette compilations to raise awareness about the continued [mis]use of broken windows policing methods.
Plus, I put together a playlists section with a handful of spotify lists that hopefully start to capture a [slightly] updated version of the moods we used to peddle. Give those a listen and a ❤ if you would be so kind. If you want to get in touch, just give me a holler.

One of the two tracks I produced for Le1f’s Dark York mixtape/LP, “Mind Body” just premiered on pitchfork and fader. I wanted to share it with you all as well. Watch out for Dark York out 4/15 on Greedhead (Heems from Das Racist’s label) in collaboration with our new sister label, headed up by Le1f himself, Camp & Street.
Le1f – “Mind Body” (Produced by Boody) (sc)
Our dear friend Marcus Price just dropped a crazy fun EP for our friends over at Discobelle. The strength of the title track alone is enough to grab this release, but the b-sides and the Richelle remix make it just plain necessary.
Marcus Price – “Hector Riddim” (sc)
HVAD & SYG NOK ARE ON THE FACEBOOK
From the future: they’re no longer on the facebook.
Fresh off a stint at the Red Bull Music Academy, Palms Out’s own Julius Sylvest faces off with Canblaster to create a song that’s french romance meets guarachero chip tune.
Canblaster & Julius Sylvest – “ReadY” (sc)
This record is finally being released after more than a long time coming. I can’t wait til it’s finally properly released so I’m not the only one raving about them all the time. Sleeping is for cats, people.
Staygold – “Backseat” ft. Spank Rock, Damien Adore, Lady Tigra (sc)
From the future: this record left off my absolute favorite song, maybe for good reason. I’m sharing it now.
Staygold – “Roxanne Shante’s Smile” ft. Mapei (mp3)
Cristian Dinamarca – “Video Boy” (mp3)
Dekker – “Stop” (mp3)
Extrawelt – “Zu Fuss (Mutter Mix)” (Unkwon Reggaeton Edit) (mp3)

I wrote this song for the Iswayski Says Ur Good Bread compilation out now on Dutty Artz.
Boody – “Guap” (sc)
The San Francisco based label Frite Nite has just released the 13th installment in their catalog, a compilation of tracks carefully selected and mixed by the Bay Area’s own Ana Sia. Surreal Estate is a “collection of tribal-influenced space dance grooves, progressive footwork, modern electro funk, and UK-centric dubstep rhythms” that transcend space and time as well as modern perceptions of the American bass scene. Stream the whole release on bandcamp after the jump.

Boody & Le1f – “Born Underwater” (sc)
Boody & Le1f – Liquid 12″ available now on Boysnoize Records (buy it on phonica)
Visionist’s side of this EP, “W.M.I.D” begins with an 808 and an insisting little vocal bit that keeps telling us this is “what must I do.” Enter some well placed cowbells, and you’ve got something really solid.
Lorca’s side is a bit more relaxed. It feels like you are stuck in a deep dark forest. Really strong work from both Visionist and Lorca on this record.
Worthy & Eats Everything – “Tric Trac” (sc)
Years after she made waves with her response track to Dizzee’s “I Luv U”, Shystie is as vital as ever. Just a few months after her last mixtape she is back with another monster, presented by the Pirates.
From the future: anyone still have this mixtape? It was free when it came out, but I can’t find it anywhere.
As the American summer plunges into hurricane season, Coral Records Internazionale is taking the beach party indoors and straight to the nearest subwoofer. The new label, created by Midwestern DJ and producer Fire For Effect, features tracks and visuals defined as #seapunk–a tumblr and twitter buzzword that indicates loose expectations of compositions influenced by the serenity of the water world. A fair share of ambient synths and familiar breaks make a big splash on #Seapunk Compilation Volume 1, Coral Records’ forthcoming first release.
UNKNOWN, an alias of Kansas City-based producer Huerco S., blends nature sounds, jungle drums, and a raspy Mary J. Blige sample with “Put U On”.
UNKNOWN – “Put U On” (mp3)
Mary makes a second appearance on Fire For Effect’s “Just Fine (Subaquatic) 2.0”, a hectic Baltimore Club interpretation of Blige’s 2007 single “Just Fine”.
Fire For Effect – “Just Fine (Subaquatic) 2.0” (mp3)
From the future: Coral Records is no more, and they’ve seemingly scrubbed the internet of all this music. Here’s a zip file of the whole compilation, since you won’t find it elsewhere. It’s also got songs from Slava, Le1f, Indigo Bunting, and Teams.
B. Lewis just released Plug, available to download for free in its entirety on his bandcamp. Download one song here then grab the album.
B. Lewis – “Cancel That” (mp3)
Dubbel Dutch says…
Record high temperatures in Texas this week and I’m feeling kinda sluggish. This mix is inspired by O.G. Ron C’s F-Action mixtape series. I decided to take some of my favorite Jersey Club RnB remixes of the moment and slow em down a bit.
I feel the same way. Summer in New York is oppressive! I’m out to the northwest on Saturday, thank goodness.
Dubbel Dutch – “Slow Club Mix” (35min sc)
Behavior – “Ghost” (mp3)
Download Lands End for free at on the band’s bandcamp, as well as their new record, New York Times.

From the future: neither of the above referenced releases are still available on their bandcamp, but they have other lovely stuff.
I’ve been meaning to post this one for a while. Rizzla‘s got stuff coming up on Fade to Mind–great stuff, I’m sure. This one is real fun, and just such a great tool.
Rizzla – “Bounce Ha” (sc)

Copies of the white label 12″ are sometimes available on discogs.
From the future: we originally only shared a soundcloud link to this, but since it’s not available digitally and the 12″s have long sold out, we’re sharing the mp3s here now.
One of our favorite Swedish outfits, The Touch – have just released a single on Kitsuné, and it’s lovely. “Sermon” is a frosty northern gem–catchy, emotive, and very satisfying for the right dance floor.
Remember Hell Interface? Hey, Boards of Canada, time might be right to resurrect this project, no? I’ll come over later and we can work on it.
Midnight Star – “Midas Touch” (Hell Interface Remix) (mp3)
Hell Interface – “Korona” (mp3)

Teeth is the alias of Helsinki based producer, Matti Pentikainen, most famous for his work with Finnish hip-hop outfit Ceebrolistics. His sound has been accurately described by Teki Latex as, “northern light-induced-clap-trap-house.” And the forthcoming Shawty 12″ out May 16th on Oneman’s 502 imprint, boasts an impressive 2-Step remix by former sushi chef FaltyDL.
Teeth – “Shawty” (mp3)
Teeth – “Shawty” (FaltyDL Remix) (mp3)
Teeth – “Shawty VIP” (yt)
From the future: initially we just posted the promo videos for these, but since the vinyl is long sold out and the release never made it to digital stores, presumably because of the Beyonce sample, I’m sharing the mp3s here. I still couldn’t find a full version of the VIP, so that’ll stay a youtube link.
She got her basket. She buying Summer’s Eve, She buying Massengill,
Mr. Ghetto – “Walmart” (Joe With Da Dreads Mix 2011)
I don’t tend to post very much of my own material here, but I have a remix coming out May 27th on Top Billin for the glowing Amy Douglas and Rob Phillips, together known as SPF 5000. I was happy to be able to contribute my slinky bashment meets throwback new york garage remix to this excellent collection of remixes.
SPF 5000 – “White Hot Fantasy” (Boody B Remix) (sc)
The Grizzl, otherwise known as Claude Von Stroke, has started a plastic pancakes label called Krush Groov. First out on the label is this monster bootytech anthem with a repeating demand that the female reverse.
Jambah Bongo Dub is the first solo release from the Gdansk-based producer Rhythm Baboon. Hypnotic rhythms and otherworldly fragments evoke some of the evolving sounds of dub techno.
